Flush Variable Elbow | DDA Compliant Key Clamp | 42mm
The DDA-5 Flush Adjustable Elbow key clamp is designed to accommodate for changes in rail direction at a given point in a run of handrail without the requirement for tube bending. The clamp is designed for use with 42.4mm tube and has been specifically designed for use on a handrail system that is required to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and the Building Regulations Pt. M:2004.
This fitting is most commonly used at the top of wheelchair access ramps to adjust the direction of the handrails from a gradient / slope to a level landing area.
The fitting is designed to be used with 2 no. A009/7 or 2 No. EL/7 internal connectors to achieve a smooth, continuous, handrail.
NB - Please note that these fittings are stocked in a galvanised finish. In order to meet with the criteria of the regulations (whereby a requirement to 'visually contrast with the surroundings') it is strongly recommended that all components in a DDA compliant handrail system are polyester powder coated. We offer a powder coating service - please contact us with your requirements.
