This A020 fitting is a 90° corner joint, with the 60.3mm vertical post passing through the clamp. Typical use is on straight and level guardrail for connecting the mid/lower rail to the vertical at a 90° corner. This fitting can also be used in a similar way on other rectangular structures. This fitting is normally used in conjunction with the A018 3 Way 90 Degree Top Corner when building a 2 or 3 rail guardrail system.
